Professor Bakri Karim

Professor Bakri Karim is a highly accomplished expert with a robust background in economics, information science, and knowledge management. He holds a master's and a Ph.D. in Information Management from the University of Wales in the UK, as well as a B.Sc. (Honors) in economics from the University of Khartoum in Sudan.  Additionally, he is a Certified Knowledge Manager accredited by the Institute of Knowledge Management in Washington DC, USA.

 

Since 2016, Professor Karim has been actively engaged in teaching various international development courses at the National University of Sudan. He also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies and holds the position of Director of Knowledge Management and External Relations.

 

Prior to his current roles, Professor Karim gained valuable experience through positions at several prominent institutions, including the University of Gezira in Sudan, Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation in the UAE, and the African Development Bank in Tunis and Andijan, Ivory Coast.

 

Professor Bakri is an accomplished author with numerous articles and chapters in books covering a wide range of topics within his field of expertise.

 

Currently, he resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
