Bio

Ambassador Dr. Muawia Elbukhari is a distinguished career diplomat with a strong background in political science and diplomacy. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Islamic University of Omdurman, Sudan, a Master's in Diplomatic Studies from the School of Diplomacy at the University of Westminster, United Kingdom, and a B.A. (Honors) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. Additionally, he has earned three diplomas in diplomacy from Pakistan, Iran, and Malaysia.

Ambassador Elbukhari currently serves as an Associate Professor at NUSU Sudan and Sudan University for Science and Technology. Throughout his career, he has represented Sudan as a diplomat in several international missions, including the Sultanate of Oman, Germany, Italy, South Sudan, Libya, Malaysia, and his current assignment in New York.

In addition to his diplomatic duties, Ambassador Elbukhari has been actively involved in teaching courses on diplomacy and international relations at various universities in Sudan. He has also served as the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at the National University-Sudan and holds the position of Director General of the National Diplomatic Institute (MFA) in Sudan.

Prior to his current roles, Ambassador Elbukhari gained extensive experience through his career, participating in international conferences and seminars related to his field, including his time at the Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations in New York.

Ambassador Elbukhari is a prolific author, with numerous articles, research papers, and books covering a wide range of topics within his field of expertise.

He currently resides in Forest Hills, New York, USA.
